Product Description
Marvel Superhero Squad figures feature a childlike aesthetic and limited articulation. The Taskmaster is clad in his grisly skull-faced attire, complete with hooded cloak; Taskmaster is capable of instantly duplicating the (non-superhuman predicated) attack styles of any superhero or villain he observes. Deadpool is clad in his mercenary-style red and black costume, complete with bandoleer/back-mounted sword scabbard and weapon belt. Generated as part of the Weapon X program, Deadpool's regenerative ability provides him with a subjective variant of near-indestructibility in addition to enhanced strength, agility and reflexes.

Two of the best figures in this line!
By Armando N. Roman
Once my daughter started playing Marvel vs Capcom 3 with me, she quickly got some new favorite superhero characters- Deadpool and Taskmaster. When I went to see if any Marvel Superhero Squad figures were made of the two, it turned out that they were both available in the same pack...and they just got re-released! Needless to say, I ordered these guys immediately. There's a tiny problem with them that's common of the figures in this line, but the bottom line is that these two translated to Superhero Squad form perfectly.
Deadpool has more articulation than I expected. You can move his head, hands, arms and waist, making for some pretty fun poses. They did a great job with adding little details to him, like the wrap on his katanas, buckles on the straps on his boots, and even some grenades on the back of his belt. They sure didn't skimp out on this figure! He stands up perfectly and looks pretty cute for a crazy moonwalkin' mercenary. Taskmaster looks really good too, though you can only move his arms up and down. Just like Deadpool, the detail is all there, like the little pouches on his belt. He can stand up without falling over as well (I bring this up after the Sentinel problem in my review for that toy). Unfortunately Taskmaster got the short end of the stick in the paint department, and while Deadpool looks perfect, Taskmaster has some missed areas like on his boots, and too much paint on other parts, which caused little globs. If you're an adult collector that cares about the paint, don't order these- just go to a store that has them and check for the best ones. However, I ordered these for my daughter and she loves them! She already played Don't Break the Ice with Deadpool in the place of the ice skating bear, and then had Deadpool fight her MODOK and Iron Man Superhero Squad figures shortly after.
These are great little toys to get, and I wish something like this were around when I was little. Deadpool and Taskmaster are fan favorites, and I can see this pack selling out once again. Get them while you still can, before they end up being another Beast/Iceman pack.
